Boyd H. Anderson Army JROTC is the oldest Army JROTC program in Broward County, Florida. Our program is managed by cadets, under the guidance of the qualified retired Army instructors. The program allows cadets to reach their full potential and showcase their accomplishments, while increasing academic achievement through emotional intelligence.
The Boyd H. Anderson U.S. Army JROTC Program is off to a great start, with the selection of its new Battalion Commander, Cadet Major Casimy Metayer.
The Battalion Commander has to be mature, willing to accept responsibility, able to effectively delegate authority, and supervise subordinates. Cadet Metayer commands the battalion at all formations, prepares for and conducts the training of the battalion on drill days and, makes operational decisions for the cadet battalion.

Cadet Major Tyler Hankerson performs the duties of the Battalion Executive Officer. He is responsible for organizing the cadet battalion staff properly and ensuring it functions as a team. He monitors the performance of the battalion staff and ensures they are properly trained. It is this officer's duty to verify that all reports are submitted on time, and that the staff is engaged in the battalions future planning.
